About Elizabeth Nancy Jansen

Elizabeth has lived personally and professionally through most of life’s greatest joys and challenges. Truthfully, she has either danced happily or fallen hard multiple times through many of these experiences.

Elizabeth grew up from humble beginnings in a small town in Northern Ontario with hard working parents and four siblings. She started her first love experience at fourteen, believing in true love lasting forever. At twenty-one Elizabeth was married to her one and only and had two wonderful children. After an eleven-year marriage she experienced the deep pain of rejection with her unfaithful husband. Single parenting came with the full load of emotionally distraught children, custody battles and resentments all while trying to balance and progress in a competitive physiotherapy career.

On the positive side of the divorce, Elizabeth discovered and nurtured her own sense of self love, worth and confidence. Entering the dating world for the first time in her thirties, she had a great deal of fun and excitement.

Elizabeth was single for three years before meeting her second husband. He had some good qualities however Elizabeth did not recognize negative patterns repeating themselves. Marrying again, this time out of loneliness and the social pressures of being a divorcee she mistook attachment for love.

Early on in this marriage, the couple experienced the tragic death of their newborn baby boy. Shortly there after, two more wonderful children were born, however the youngest was profoundly autistic.

Parenting 4 amazing children in codependent relationships, plus autism, self medicating with alcohol and a highly successful/stressful career were her challenges.

And where Elizabeth is now?

She retired or as she says ”rewired” from her Physiotherapy/Directorship Career in Southern Ontario in 2013 after 37 years. Her sobriety date is November 17th 2008.

Elizabeth is now living with great intention daily with Love, Trust and Service. She brings this to her work as a Recovery and Relationship Coach. She is also an Author, a Speaker and an Educator on Alcoholism, Addiction and Mental Health.

Elizabeth has evolved and transformed her life even beyond her wildest dreams. Recovery gave her life, self-love, true love, health, wealth, freedom, joy and peace. Let Elizabeth show you how you can do this too.
