A wonderful read! From the riveting beginning to the blissful end, my attention was captured! This first book by Ms. Jansen takes the reader through generational attitudes toward marriage, family, religion and mental illness. Nia, the protagonist, by growing through her own life challenges of marriage, child-rearing, loss and addiction, ultimately finds that rather than succumbing to pain, her hearts desire is found in honesty and a willing embrace of life as it is.

This is a wonderful story not only for women.Men need to know how to enter a relationship with eyes wide open seeking what they desire and knowing what they absolutely do not want in a love relationship.This story clearly identifies how to find true love right trough to senior years as I can identify with Arjan.Absolutely loved the book.

Powerful beginning, I wasn't sure I wanted to continue. But I'm glad I did, very good read. Well written and interesting life stories based in Canada. Very stressful and arduous journey for a woman to conquer so much and finally find peace. Thanks Nancy for a fascinating book from beginning to end!

Great read! Jansen starts out strong and moves on to explore the lives and dreams of generations of women and their men, leading to her own trials and successes. A cautionary tale full of hope, lessons, and love. Looking forward to more from this author.

This is a great book. It explores and unpacks a lot of emotions that I think women gloss over when making big decisions regarding love and chosing partners. Bride Doll is full of great storytelling, lovely characters and we all deserve a happy ending.

A Story of Life and Love

Not every fairytale romance is smooth and seamless. Most of the time, it isn't. We carry with us generational trauma, which affects our relationships. Nancy does a wonderful job of taking the readers through generations of choices in love and takes us on a journey of a woman who is determined to "get it right." I highly recommend this beautiful story and hope you see yourself in the characters, as I did.
